Obama and the Small Business Lucky Basturd

Boy oh boy. The President has really stepped off the cliff of sanity this time. He was recently speaking with some supporters in Roanoke, Virginia and made some doozy statements. Here is one article if you wish to read it before we move on. Link.

One of his statements that really rubs me the wrong way is when he says “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” For most of his speech and these sentences in particular, he is parroting a popular leftist sentiment recently put forth by Elizabeth Warren. A claim that carries heavy weight with the voting lower economic classes in this country. ‘It’s not your fault that you are poor.’ ‘If you are successful, you just got lucky.’ Well, I for one, think this is some horseshit. Excuse my farmers French.

The statements are not completely false and that is what makes them dangerous. Of course the small business owner had to use public roads and education systems to get where he is in this world. What other choice did he have, frankly? But this is a stupid, simplistic way of looking at it. The guy gets no credit for entrepreneurship? No credit for working longer hours? No credit for taking chances? The left want to completely strip people of their personal responsibility. I refuse to do that. Did every single small business owner pull himself up by his own bootstraps and make something out of nothing? No, but most of them did.

I own a very small business that I started about 16 years ago. It does pretty decent financially. I also have bills that might make a normal Joe’s head spin right off his shoulders. And my bills pale in comparison to some of my friends that have their own businesses. This is just how the world works folks. In my particular situation, did I make it to where I am completely on my own? Of course not. and I am thankful for the opportunities afforded me. But I did build this company from scratch. Didn’t inherit the business or even some other large inheritance along the way. When you say to me that I didn’t build it, well sir, you are going to piss me off.

I can say this for the POTUS, at least he isn’t pretending anymore.

Yeah he added that crap about the roads and teachers after he realized hed f’d up. He let his true feelings slip out and then had to try and ease the comment. He meant as a business owner you are only successful by taking advantage of all consumers. That’s how he believes. Its very obvious with his campaign. If it walks like a duck and smells like a turd, well it’s probably a commy duck turd. He has duped the democratic voters. He is so far past even their ideology. Surely most can see it. Romney’s more of a traditional democrat than that assclown.

TB, I have been following the conversation on this subject pretty closely and I will admit that TECHNICALLY, it is probable that he was talking about the bigger hogwash societal debt crap and not the particular small business owner. Doesn’t matter really. It was a TERRIBLE choice of words and it does clearly state his socialistic view. The societal debt argument is so frigging bogus, it honestly makes me want to cry. Our mothers fed us when we were babies too. The trees make oxygen that we all breathe. Seriously, you can not be comfortable making the “we all use the roads argument”, right?

I once said here that I don’t think Obama was a communist. Well, there is no doubt that he is. I was sooooo wrong. Study up on Frank Marshall, his mentor. Pay attn to Marshall’s quotes. You’d think you were listening to an Obama campaign speech.

This was another example of how little Obama knows about business and the private sector. He doesn’t realize that the vast majority of businesses are 1 person. Assclown. That’s why I say it’s important to get him out. Even if you don’t like Romney. It goes beyond who spends more and the deficit. They are important but this guy even gives democrats a bad name.

Finally got around to reading his comments. I didn’t find them controversial.

As a small business owner myself, I have been helped by the government (particularly would have trouble in my job without roads, bridges and the internet), teachers (some, not all), friends and clients.

I didn’t see where he was saying hard work by the business owner was not important, unless I read certain sentences and ignore others.

One thing he did leave out….I have also been hindered by the government in operating my business and he ought to be pursuing policies to help the small businesses thrive. Lots of ways they could improve things, starting with making my tax burden as compared to GE and Exxon’s more fair and simplifying taxes in general. Speaking only from my own experiences, Obama’s failure to rein in Wall Street and the multi national corporations has been his undoing.

My husband is a small business owner (owner/operator truck driver), thinking of the hours that he puts in (not only while working, but on repairs and upkeep) I can’t imagine anyone thinking that he wasn’t the source behind building it.
