I’m just noticing the palm tree is blacked out. I wish I’d gotten the light right to include it.
Obviously, it’s not native, but that is part of the charm of the view there. Lots of Julia Pfeiffer’s old gardens survive now in the wild. She was a teenage orphan heiress who lived there in the early to mid-1900′s. She donated the property to the state and they had to tear down the house because of the degrading cliffs. The pic is taken from right about the spot where her bedroom window was.
